The Simplex SIS 212 Modular Frame System provides a wide variety of enclosure solutions for cleanrooms, safety enclosures, sound control, process isolation, dust control and other industrial applications.
The SIS 212 is built around a simple, strong, easy-to-use 2-1/8” x 2-1/8” anodized aluminum extrusion. You can quickly assemble three and four-sided frames that easily knock together. Individual walls assemble with compression latches or bolt-together hardware.
The SIS 212 Modular Frame System works with the complete selection of Simplex softwalls, bifolding curtains and strips. Options include anti-static, laser, tinted welding curtains, and materials used for sound control and non-outgassing, ESD-resistant curtains. Outfit the SIS with casters and you have a portable softwall or hardwall structure that you can move to various places on the shop floor for added protection from contamination.
The SIS system also accommodates inserts of ABS composite, polycarbonate, white epoxy aluminum, acrylic, tempered glass or other materials, allowing you to construct enclosures and even cleanrooms. Structures built from SIS framing are also compatible with the complete line of cleanroom doors and vents from Simplex. The standard SIS framework ceiling is based on a fully-integrated 2-inch t-bar that accepts 2’ x 4’ ceiling tiles and components such as ceiling filters and lighting units. SIS ceilings can also be reinforced to accommodate heavier loads using a wide selection of Simplex components.
The Simplex SIS 797 Enclosure System with ACT! – Active Channel Technology ACT! – Active Channel Technology -- allows you to adjust the insert channel of the SIS frame for different sizes of solid inserts from 1/8” to 3/8” inch. In addition to being able to vary the size of the insert, the ACT! design creates a snug interior mounting of the insert that is flush with the frame, making the assembled wall easy to keep clean. The SIS 797 with ACT! can be fitted for wall panel inserts of ABS composite, polycarbonate, white epoxy aluminum, acrylic, tempered glass or other materials.
The SIS 212 and 797 frame systems are ideal for ISO class 8 (Class 100,000) to Class 4 (Class 10) applications and can be designed as a single-pass cleanroom or as a re-circulating design with air-chase walls and ceiling plenum. Simplex Helps Firm Expand Clean Manufacturing FONTANA, CA -- Simplex Isolation Systems, a designer and manufacturer of modular cleanrooms, recently completed the construction of more than 2,500 feet of clean manufacturing space in the new facilities of Irvine, CA-based Xcaper Industries. Manufacturing takes place in five of Simplex’s AirLock modular cleanrooms, which are designed as Class 10,000 clean facilities.
“We originally found Simplex through their website,” said Steve Reese, VP of Operations at Xcaper, “Simplex has not only provided excellent cleanrooms, but from our first meeting they have also been a source of solid advice and guidance when it comes to clean manufacturing.”
Xcaper Industries manufactures the Xcaper® Smoke Mask.
